a good lock smith will be able to unlock your door and make keys for you on site , will be pricey but you gotta do what you gotta do , lock smith made 2 keys for my expedition and even reprogramed my truck for me for 200 on spot

I keep a spare at home, office and the center console. All made within days of buying the vehicle.

Reminds me of my friends in high school that kept a hide-a-key under his s-10 bed-rail and an ignition key in the ashtray...he wasn't happy when I parked his truck on the opposite side of the parking lot, but he got me back when I had my top down (5-speed YJ) and he pushed it out into the middle of the parking lot roadway.

I dont know how far back the dealer will go as the giving them a vin# to cut an ignition key. I picked up a 1993 wrangler last saturday with no keys. Golling Jeep on Telegraph cut me an ignition keg for $10.00 using the vin #
The 3 places I called today, lock smiths, wanted $100. the first two "wanted" to stop by and cut it and the third place I called, I told him i'd bring the lock from the door with me and was told that it would only be good for the doors and not the ignition, reason being, door locks on a YJ have 5 tumblers and the ignition has 7($25-$30 to make a key for the doors only)......What do I know, I'm just a truck driver??

Basic AAA $49.95
RV plus Add on $28.00

$80 and alot of good benifits for a jeep owner.

AAA Plus RV for Extra Security
Towing distance allowance increased to 100 miles from the point of disablement to the destination of your choice. This gives you the freedom to have your vehicle towed to a repair facility or other location of your choice within 100 miles. (Regular membership covers tow to responding station or up to 5 miles from place of disablement.)
Free emergency fuel. (Regular members pay for fuel.)
Extrication. Services of a second truck and driver for one hour if needed. (Services of one truck and driver for unlimited time available to regular members.)
Up to $100 in parts and labor for lockout/locksmith services for your vehicle. ($50 covered under regular membership.)

Sounds like you would get your money worth this year.
