tim, i was up there last weekend. it was pretty dry, but lower turtle ridge has some really cool parts. there is some deep peet mud, that anyone would get buried in. there are some cool rock trails as well. i will be on the island the 29th of July, through about the 6th of August, so maybe sometime we could meet up and do some wheeling.

It's been dry as hell up here...well...everywhere. It's just crazy.

I'll be in Frankfort from the 30th to like the 12th of aug so i'll miss you on that one.

i believe turtle ridge will be closed down to jeeps that weekend, because ATV offroad club of michigan is having a big jamboree up there...so i am staying clear that weekend, it will be really busy with quads on the island. However, i will be up for DOA the 25th or whatever

The ridge just doesn't seem like something the quad guys would like. Guys around here didn't like it for their raptors and stuff but they loved it for jeeps and trucks. I wouldn't go there with my quad for riding...but I guess there are the quads on the rocks guys. I like trail riding on my quad.

Seems to be many 's on the site. Nice to hear. We have 180 out side of Rudyard. I had heard before of Drummond Ilse but never been there....always ventured west. In fact our cabin is right off of the Drummond exit right off Mackinaw Trail. Dont have anything I think Id really wanna take in the park, but would like to meet with some people when I come that way again and venture some two tracks.

I dont personally hunt it much.....but we havent gotten many deer off it. Maybe 15 in the last 20 years. But most of them have been with a bow.

Sounds nice. The wife and I were thinking of taking the kids up there mid September. I hope it will be nice about that time. Be cool to meet up with ya then.
