Go to Banks Vacuum superstore, there all over; or go to United Vacuum on Dixie in waterfall plaza. Look at the Miele Vacuums they are spendy but by far the best Vac you can buy. If the Meile is too expensive get a Simplicity.
I have a Simplicity 7950, these things are so powerful it will rip a 3 wire 14 guage cord in two pieces, they have an excellent warranty and are just naughty.

Here is a middle of the road miele

Here is a nice Simplicity

For the prices on those I will go buy another bissell pet hair eraser for $149.

I know this, but all the ones around this area (Oakland, Genesee, Saginaw, Macomb Counties) have that system. I'm sure the Cincinnati division has their own system.

Why? Do you like replacing your Vacuum every 2-3 years?
If you add it up over 10 years you will spend between $450 - $750 replacing those vacuums. Did you know that the Manufactures life expectancy is only 18 months on a bissel vac? 12 months on a Hoover. So if you get lucky and they last 3 years you wont be ahead but if they last the 18 months or so you will make out in the long run.

For me it is all about the Warranty ans serviceability.

It all depends on how much you use it. If you have kids and vacuum everyday, I could see going through more vacuums. Considering I had been using a 10 year old cheap one that my mom had given me for the past couple of years, I see no reason why this Bissel won't last me plenty long. I spent $150 yesterday, and that will likely last me ten years.

And, when you can get one off Craigslist for a couple hundred, you'd be dumb to get anything else. Plus, if anything ever breaks, you can take them apart and fix them easily.

Have me a Heritage II. Nothing like a vacuum cleaner you can break someone's ankle with.

My wife threw out my old Kirby when we got married, and bought a Dirt Devil upright.

3 months later, I threw it out and bought another 30 year old Kirby.

When we bought our current house, she thought she could force me into buying new carpeting by tearing up all the existing carpet while I was at work.

11 years later, we are still carpetless...

x3 I have to clean my hardwood floors almost daily since I have a dog that goes outside whenever he wants. Its amazing how much dirt dogs bring in the house. I'd almost rather have carpet sometimes, it would be easier to clean than sweeping and mopping hardwood.

The one I have now is 3 years old and works perfectly.
