Fair enough. I'm not saying that I would never use them, in fact I might try them on my scrambler project. For that I would try to use ford style radius arms with coilovers. I think this type of setup would allow the simplest setup with the least parts. Keep in mind that with any four link type setup you have twice the moving parts to wear out or break/bend.

Check out F-O-A.com. That is where I got my coilovers. You can get em valved to what ever you want and they are less expensive. I DD mine and have been running em since April with out a problem. Springs are not that hard to figure out if you know the weight of the rig and you can easilu adjust the height

if you are going to drive it on the road you must have sway bars !!
you can alwise un hook them at the trail,

I will see about the swaybar after its on the ground. I have been driving it with no bar and I use some 240lb XJ coils in it with dual shocks. Its very soft riding and does lean alot but nothing Im concerned about. Keep in mind Im also an old skool drag racer so swaybars are always the first thing I ditch on ALL my vehicles.

sorry, checked your profile and did not see an age,would hate to see some one get in a wreck.I had a bronco2 years ago, all stock, man it was top heavy.different tires and rims made a world of difference

Ok I think I scored tonite.

I picked up a set of King coilovers that are brand new and have never been bolted to a truck! 12" with 350/250lb springs. Very cool guy up in Warren had em and I got em for 400.00! There has to be at least a 1000.00 into these.





king set them up for his XJ so Im thinking they should be pretty close to good enough for my v8 bronco2.

That's a good score! I feel sorry for you when you have to buy springs though, 2.5" springs are about twice the price of 2.0" springs.

Yeah a buddy seen em on Craigslist and called me.I dont normally watch Detroit CL since Im basicly in Toledo and thats the area I watch on there.

I got the feeling the guy was kinda pissed he didnt ask more for them and I really thought he was going to back out on the sale or raise the price on me once I got there! But he was a man of his word and the deal was good.He must of said "You know what kind of deal your getting right?" 4 times in the ten min I was there!

Yeah I realize the springs are more money but I figure with the small price I paid to get these plus having springs to sell as used parts {yet brand new} should I change them Im still way head in the end.

Now I just need to figure out how one picks their own spring rates for their truck so I can see how close or far off these will be.
