No, Dale Soinski does.

Kelly's family owns the BP Corner store and someone else in his Family owns Guitar Shack in Streetsboro, but I can't recall the relationship for that one.

EDIT: The Internet has way too much information on it.

Yeah, Mr. Robocon has some extremely revealing pictures of me and if they get out I will have absolutely no chance at being the next American Idol.

In all seriousness, I am just trying to prove JeepSkool to be a legitimate and awesome place to wheel in Ohio. Really, the equation is simple:

The more place to wheel -> the more people there are that wheel -> more new places open up.

I fully understand while some people are upset. Robocon came to your site and was pretty disrespectful. I'm sorry for that but it has already happened.

If you do have any more questions that I can answer here, fire away.

If you wanna know more about the rules, what kind of terrain we have, anything, ask away. I will do my best to answer.

He has certainly not done it in a very eloquent manner but I'm sure it gets old going through the same old argument over and over again.

If there is anything I can do reinstall some confidence in JeepSkool, let me know.
If he is going to come here and use the GL4X4 forum to promote his business then he should be willing to answer questions about the park on the GL4X4 forum. It is the least he can do in return for the free advertising. Clearly he has a problem dealing with people on the internet and should hire someone like you to respond to questions he doesn’t like (or simply keep his mouth shut).

So since you have graciously offered to help get us a better idea of what the park is like, a couple of questions:

Is there a link on the “Skool” main page to the park rules? Is there a pdf where all the rules are clearly stated?

It appears one must become a member of an internet forum to visit the park (first it was JeepinOhio and now JeepSkool) is that true, why?

So if I understand it correctly the park management decides when too much trail damage would occur during a vehicle recovery and then requires the heavy equipment to be used. Is that correct?

What other fees exist for getting stuck and/or breaking down on the trails and who decides when they are applied? For example, is there a fee for the vehicle being in the park past closing time? Etc.

Nope. Another individual who has very little interest in wheeling owns Southington Hunt Club (the property that JeepSkool is held on)

Thanks for the advertising and I understand your concern. I will do my best to stay on GL4X4 so I can keep up with the questions.

There is not a PDF of the rules but on the JeepSkool General Discussion page there is a JeepSkool Rules thread (http://jeepskool.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5)
There is also a event FAQ where more guidlines can be found (http://www.jeepskool.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=19).

Links to both of these can be found in all of the staff members signatures for ease of access.
You may also request a copy of the rules during Skooling.

Yes, all JeepSkool event attendees must be registered forum users. I have never discussed with Robocon why this is but I believe it would be safe to bet that it is in an effort to get every one on the site and reading the rules and 'contributing to the JeepSkool community'

Yes, would be at management's discretion as to when too much trail dammage would occur. Just to clarify, heavy equipment would usually need to be used to transport a very broken rig off of the trail not to un-stick a vehicle.

As far as I have ever seen, there are no other fees to be applied on stuck or broken rigs. Your entrance fee covers you being in the park from opening on Saturday till 11 pm on Saturday and then again, from opening on Sunday till 9 PM on Sunday. You are more than welcome to camp, but there is to be no wheeling past 11.

If your rig breaks down on the trail and is unable to drive home, you are welcome to keep it in the LOCKED factory for up to 24 hours so that you can return with a trailer and retrieve it.

Hope that helps and feel free to ask if you need further clarification.

Money is tight for a ORV park that is just launching. I would much rather that money go towards new obstacles.

I had NOT heard of JeepSkool and definiitely no hub-bub before this thread. Believe me, I won't be putting money in your pocket when there are other parks that do treat its patrons with respect; especially knowing that you run the joint.

Nice PR skills. Good luck with your little endeavor.

After reading the first 2 pages I was like F that place
Then after reading all 8 pages I at least became skeptical, but I am still not sure I would want to go to a park ran by egotism.

2000xjclassic should get a huge raise and become the PR manager.

I won't go back and look for statements to quote about deleted posts on his site but.......

When I joined his site a year ago there was discussion about what the class should be. People were talking about things like changing tires, air pressures, hi-lift jacks, winches, etc. When I made the statement that those items would take 4 + hours to cover properly and they were nuts if they thought they could do it in a half hour, MY POST WAS DELETED. I tried rephrasing it, it was deleted again. I asked why it was deleted, no answer, my question was deleted. So, yes, I was one of those people who was so mean and nasty that I needed to be deleted. You all know that's my style.

Then I was told that any form of arguing on the site would not be tolerated. I was also told I was not the kind of person they wanted there. Then I went away.

Now some other info. I made a strong effort to resolve issues with Kelly through pm's. I apologized and we had a half dozen decent conversations. I offered up some of the tried and true GLFWDA info and offered to get a bunch of GLFWDA members who had been around to come down and give him some comments on what they had seen around the country in other parks. He never took me up on it.

Since then, I've kind of forgotten about the place because it seemed targeted at the <35" crowd. But now that I've seen his further tirades, I'm convinced that he's not going to change. Therefore, my money goes elsewhere.
