Alright I think I got it. I shut down my computer, unplugged the router and the modem, turned the modem back on, waited until all lights were on, then plugged in the router and plugged it into the modem, waited for all those lights to come on, then plugged in my computer to the router and turned it on, read part of the setup manual, checked the connections and everything, then unplugged the wired connection to the router and switched to wireless. It's working for now, but I'm not sure if it will work for the long run, when I checked the wireless program to see data, the transmit/receive performance is still at 0%. Oh well, I'll take what I can get I guess.
Oh, and I'm also less than 3 feet away from the router. Guess I should slowly back away before the router divides by 0.
