Almost looks like someone made it with some of those old wood wax stamps used to seal letters.

I'm no expert by any means, but it looks hand stamped, not mass produced, so I would say it is either very old, and worth alot, or just made by someone for a hobby, and worth nothing...I would take pics of it to several different coin collectors, museums, etc. to find out the facts...

what type of material is it? copper? have you done anything to clean it? if not, then dont...put it in an envelope and dont touch it...I used to know a guy who was a big coin collector, and from what he told me, amatuer attempts to clean rare old coins almost always damaged them in some way and decreased thier value.
