WTF is up with Verizon? Can't call any other cell phones

Our phones are not working, my mom's (Verizon) isn't working, etc. can't make or receive any calls to any other cells I've tried. Immediate circuit busy for my mom, just dead air then circuit busy on mine.. WTF is going on?

Do you ever shut the thing off? If not shut it off for 5 min and it will be fine. You should shut your phone off 5 min per day so it can update.

No, on Verizon you dial *228 to update. A phone can't update if it's off. My email server at my ISP is crashed at the moment and so is my mom's ISP (different one)...This is a little odd..

Yes, so you can yell at the phone and throw it at the wall cursing at it.

I didn't say they suck, I was just wondering what was up with the outtage. Especially when several different ISP's email server arrays started dropping, well..I got a little concerned for a minute that it could be an attack on our communications systems. Glad it was just coincidence.

It's alright. I was being sarcastic. Every month, somebody complains about how much Nextel sucks, so I was just going with it.

But in reality, they all have their problems here and there.

We were at dinner with a few friends about the same time. 6:30 ~ 7:30 and their Verizon phones didn't work either. I tried with my Nextel to the number they were calling and nothing. But i don't know if it was a Verizon phone they were trying to reach.
