Im in the process of doing that now. the steering is actually pretty simple, here is a great kit....

a couple of helpful hints... make sure you know what your buying. when i started my project I picked up a "chevy dana 44" that turned out to be a gm 10 bolt
x2 on the flat top knuckles, you dont HAVE to have them, but they help greatly with steering geometry, and protecting your tie rod.
and chevy axles are 67"-69" wide, so its best to run rims with decent backspacing. I'm running H2 rims.
also your bolt pattern is likely going to be different.
