Default Was the Fort Hood shooter a terrorist?

The PIO for the Army said yesterday that it was not a terrorist attack, but was it? He was a true believer in Islamic Jihad, chose a side and did his best.
I say at best a terrorist, at worst a traitor and he never flipped the crazy switch.

What say you?

Prayers to the victims and family, support to all our military.

I wish we would change the word "terrorist" to "religious" which would make a lot more sense.

Good point, they are fighting a religious war, while the U.S. fights a political war.

Piece of shit, thats what that guy is, he was scared to go to iraq (which isnt as bad as it used to be, I volunteered to go to afghanistan which is still worse then iraq) so he shot a bunch of people, later at night they said he was still alive...hes getting hung i know it! The kicker to it is, he was a psychiatrist in the army, if he wouldnt have done this he would have sat on a base alll deployment.

The Obama administration will not allow him to be called a terrorist because it would prove Dick Cheney's (among many) assertion that we're not as safe under Obama as we were under the prior administration.

A domestic terror attack causing over a dozen deaths committed by what's emerging as a known Al Quaeda sympathizer/aspirant who was also an active duty U.S. Army officer certainly lends some weight to the "less safe" claim.

I don't care if it's PC or not. The guy was a thug and possibly had terrorists connections. I don't see any good in him at all. But, he'll be much better when he's dead. Hopefullly soon.

Some reports are saying he has had multiple contacts with known extremists. If that is true, yes this was a terrorist act. Whether it is proclaimed as such by this administration, i doubt it. That is a hard pill to swallow, a United States Marine turning terrorist while stationed on US soil.

It will probably be spun to say he is some kind of crazy person with a disorder. I really wonder what he is going to say for himself.

Either way, after trial he should be marched outside and a bullet put in his head.

Why a trial? Are there not enough witnesses? Save the taxpayer money, don't even use a bullet. A rope would do just fine.
