Default Yz426

I have an opportunity to trade my 01 rm 250 for an 02 yz426. Opinions on the 426? I have never owned a 4-stroke.

I run an '02 WR426 with all the freemods (makes it like a YZ426) only has a 5 speed gearbox.. and I love it... Try it... You'll like it! Engine is Granite tough and lots of power...

Quite a bit heavier and slower handling than your RM250, but makes pretty good power.

If you pick it up and need parts drop me a PM, I have a 426 parts bike.

IMO not slower than a 250 two stroke in the woods, I have one, and in 7 years I have not had to open the engine yet or replace the clutch. Mine likes to foul plugs but otherwise just normal maintenance.

Takes awhile to get used to the compression braking and high CG etc...

I told him his bike plus cash for my rm. He declined.

I found that when I ran Premium in mine, I'd eat plugs like a fat kid eats donuts (plugs would carbon foul in the worst way)... I run regular now and haven't changed one all year... Canadian Premium gas costs your first born / litre (1/4 us gallon) so I am assuming the Premium loses it's octane rating sitting in the tank?!?!?

I'm sure someone has something to say about running regular 89 octane... so bash away!!!!
