Default Tire Sipping

Just had my ProComp Xtreme mud terrains done at tire factory in Mt Pleasant for my 33 1250x15 tires for 52.00 for all. They do a good job and about 1/2 hour in and out, they are small slits across the knobs and almost to the wear bars.. They will open up after some milage. Suppose to make them as good as snow tires or better according to some. You can goto tirefactory.com and it will show it and explain the benifits.

Had Discount tire do it to my old M/T's for $10 each - were sure-footed on ice and snow (something I was warned about with M/T's on the road in the winter).

Didn't seem to affect the tire longevity either.

proponents of siping actually say that it makes the tire last longer since it dissipates the heat faster.

loved the siping of tires... made them last longer and stop better, with most improved road abilities. They won't sipe tires down here

Had my 31" MTRs done at discount after I got them used for 10$ a tire.

Before=the suck in winter
After=the awesome

On dry pavement you can almost here them gripping the road.

Best $40 I ever spent on tires.
