Default Lifting My DODGE

I have a 2006 dodge ram 1500 4x4, i have a pro comp 6inch lift, gettin ready to have installed as soon as I can get some tires. Is there anything I should know about installing this kit? I am planning on running 20 inch rims with 35's, is it possible to run a smaller tire?

Bigger tires do offset the speedometer since your looking at 35's. Might be a good idea to look at changing your speedometer gear or getting a programmer that will correct it for you. Your acceleration might also change depending on what your rear gearing is which could also effect your gas mileage. Sure you can run a smaller tire, it just depends on brand / style.

why on earth would you want to go smaller if you want smaller tires, drop it instead....then send me the lift LOL!

I have a 3" B/L on my 06 with 33 12.50's and IMO i could have gone with 35's. With a 6" I think if you go any smaller the tires will look too small for the height of the truck.

good luck with your decision and post up some pics when you get it done!
