Default starting an early 90s buick with a bad solenoid

hey my buddy has an early 90s buck park avenue with a bad solenoid.We were wondering if there is anyway to "jump" the solenoid to ge tthe car to start.I know u can on old vehicles but this has the solenoid built into the starter,which i think makes a difference.Any info is appreciated.

2 posts on the starter. One from the battery and one from the ignition (purple wire). Power up the smaller post. Screwdriver or anything metal between the two posts. Make sure key is in "on" position.

Wrap a rope around the crank pulley and pull hard. I'll wager that pig has hardly any compression left.
