**PLEASE DELETE**500+hp 401 clean glass CJ-5 project, dunes or cruise

Well it has been sitting in my shop for a few years and I dont see having time to finish it with 2 jobs and 3 kids.I have a 1974 jeep CJ-5, frame is great. It has a 4wd hardware fiberglass body and a nice orange paint job with a small SVO scoop.I ran it on the dunes with a 360 and t-15 with NOS and kept breaking transmission. so I pulled the 360 and bought a 401 to build. I copied the hotrod build "500 hp for under 4k" they got 520 hp, the only difference is I had the block line bored and it balanced and added roller rockers. It has never been fired, it cost over $6000 to build but it has set covered for a few years so it should be disassembled and inspected before running. I bought headers and sidepipes and had them jetcoated crome. I have a DUI ignition for it also. I got a th400 with the advanced adapter to dana 20, it has a B&M shift kit and 2800 rpm stall converter, I cracked the corner of the th400 housing but bought a spare th400 to swap the guts into. It has lots of crome and stainless on it. It has a NOS 175 HP kit. the motor was built to handle it. It has a full cage tied to the frame, 4 " lift, and brackets on both side of the axles if you want it bigger. It has 33x15.5 x15 swampers on crome wheels, glass racing seats.
It needs about a week worth of assembly, motor and trans installed, needs a carb around 750 cmf and a radiator.
It also comes with 2 parts jeeps a 304 3 speed cj-7 and scrambler 6-auto both rusty and rough but have spare parts and brackets, also all my spare CJ stuff in my shop, bellhousing, extra axles
This is a great oppertunity for someone who has some spare time and ability, 10 years ago I would have jumped it the project but life changes as you get older.always stored inside

Finally selling the 5 huh? Good luck with the sale!
Someone is going to get a sweet setup for the dunes. You have almost that much just in the engine alone.

p.s. I havent seen the shop that clean in a long time!

Actually I have more into the motor and accsessories than I am asking..such is life. The shop is clean for the same reason I am selling the jeep, no time. I haveen't done any projects in a while just basic maintance and I am lucky I got the XJ done over the winter. So.. Jon make sure your jeep is just how you like it before you have any more kids,4 years ago $2000 for paddles no big deal, now $400 for a locker and the world is going to end and I am selfish.

oooouuuucccchhhh!!!!!! I saw this jeep in his garage a few months ago, definately worth over 10k with that motor easily. Thats life... hope you can bring the xj up sometime, maybe a canada trip?

<<<<<<<<<BUMP>>>>>>>>>>> good luck shane, and buy the locker. She'll get over it.............but without the locker in you're jeep you might not.

To awnser the question "whats the least you will take?" its $4800 firm, or partial trade for a 3/4 to 1 ton 4x4 or HD car hauler/ equipment trailer, if it doesnt sell in a few weeks it will go into the the warehouse until I have time to finish it someday.
