Fall Beer Brewing Recipes
Well Iíve got the itch to brew some beer.
I havenít brewed a batch in over a year and am a bit rusty.
We usually make about 10 gallon batches in a conical fermentor that I leave in the garage to ferment because of the smell (wife hates it).
I want to make a batch next weekend before the temps plummet, is there a special yeast that will work better in colder weather? I think we usually use #300 Ale yeast, but canít remember for sure.
Iíve got 5lbs wheat and 5lbs of 2 row barley already; I need to buy some hops and yeast.
Does anybody have any good fall beer recipes?
If youíve got a recipe post it up and include the batch size itís intended for please.

for cold weather you could use a lager yeast as long the temps are consistently cold.
you would not want it to get warm on a nice day.
two 7lb bags of muntons dark unhopped sprayed dry malt,
one brewers licorice stick.
steep the stick at 150 degrees for 30 mins.
add the malt and the steeped licorice water to 2 gallons of boiling water.
add 1tbsp irish moss
add 2 cups brewers sugar.
break the boliover head, boil 10 mins.
add that wort to your carboy and top off with cool water and cork it.
throw it in the cold bath to drop the temp to yeast pitching temp.
add 1 pack attenuated y yeast labs american ale yeast, and a blow off tube
the final gravity should be in the 1020 area if i remember corectly.
we always used absopure steam distilled water, and y yeast labs yeast.
made some great beers.
with no hopps its like a jagermeister beer, but way milder??
it was a popular christmas gift with my friends.
super easy and cheap!
