Default Front 44 limited slip ?

What is is man? My friend wants to buy a rebuild kit for it. It was removed from a 78 bronco, I thought it was a Factory trac lock but I'm not so sure after closer inspection. Help a brother out.

was that removed from a Ford front axle?

It appears it is a standar cut ring gear, in 78 ford had the high pinion D44 in the Bronco, which has a reverse cut ring gear

Is this possibly a LS from a D44 rear axle?

Thanks fsumotorhead, It certaintly is not from a HP44.

It is some sort of limited slip. I think I'll do what I told him to do in the first place.........Scrap it.

that or rebuild it and use the it it in a hp44

the carriers are interchangeable, i was mearly pointing out that it probablt didn't come from a bronco, that is if it actaully if for a d44 to begin with.

it would be pretty hard to clean it up/rebuild to usable conditionif, it was me, i'd probably pitch it
