Hopefully shes not running at her 8-9min mile place though. Go do some 100m run times and get back to us.

my point exactly, now, if she can all out sprint 100m and needs to run further that 8 minute pace may be fast enough to get her to safety, but the initial sprint is going to be the important part.

I'd either go witht he buddy system, or a gun. I wouldn't rely on my ability to out run, out fight, or out luck a mugger.

I cant do the buddy system because sometimes I train at like 2 or 3pm. If I trained at lunchtime I could have extra walkers but I can rarely get that time slot.

I usually wear a thin blouse and a skirt. I havent had much success with pants lately because I lose weight so fast that they start to get all baggy at the crotch and butt after like three or four weeks. A skirt I can usually get about 8 weeks out of before it is obnoxiously larger. Also a skirt is cheaper to get tailored. I have to check my company's policies. I am not even sure I am allowed to carry at work.
FTW!!!

Pepper Spray or a Taser for sure and I'd notify the gym that there is a creeper lurking around outside.

If you are going to carry a knife for self defense I suggest you take a class on knife fighting otherwise its just as likely your attacker will take your knife and use it on you.

I bought an assisted knife today. I need to get a little comfortable with it because Mikey is scared I am going to stab myself. I can get it open just fine but closing back up is a little rough.

Maybe an ankle piece would be good for a back-up.
