DIY YJ Rear frame reinforcement plates - jeep wrangler

$65 (will ship to the lower 48 states only)

If the rear sections of your Jeep YJ frame are rusted out by the shackles like many YJ's this is just what you need.

These 1/8" laser cut plates go over the exisiting frame.

Before

After

$65.00 gets you 6 pieces total to repair both sides, Or $35 for just one side
Will ship to the Lower 48 states only $25 UPS Ground

PM me or e-mail jeepoholic@me.com if you're interested.

Thanks

Seems to me you'd have better luck making them for CJs. YJs don't seem as bad, the frames are stronger stock, and decent frames are still plentiful for cheap.....CJs are weaker and it's getting harder and harder to find decent original frames for a good price. Offer plates for those and I bet you'd sell twice as many.

I probably should've posted this in the linked thread, not here. Oh well.

I've fixed a few CJ's as well, but they seemed to be much easier to fix with the spring hanger on the bottom vs. the YJ with the sleeve in the middle of the frame.

Yes, this kit welds over whats left of the frame, and welds onto and around the factory shackle bushings, I've done them with stock and aftermarket shackles and they work fine. See the posts below...

Thanks,

Depending on how you executed the attachment of the CJ type hanger, I think it would be possible. But IMO, there may be better ways than using these plates.
