Default not all new posts showing

Some posts that I have just posted in do not show up on the list when I press the new post search button.
I have to navigate to it thru the forum.
It updates other posts from the same group (the pub) just not the one I posted in.
Also, I checked and I have no one on my ignore list.

Yeah, something was changed yesterday or the day before. Now when I click on my control panel I can see a lot of my suscribed threads, but not the ones I have most recently posted in like before. Weird.

Can you tell me what forums you're not seeing new posts in?

Ok wait. Re-read what you just posted. If you just posted in the thread, then there are no new posts to show since you just posted in the thread and vbulletin marked you as "reading" this thread. It will not show up until someone else posts in it.

Don't get the new posts confused with the display on the front page. The front page will put up the newest threads, even if you've read them and replied, the new posts button will only show you threads that have had posts since you LAST VISITED the thread.

It seems like every one. This one showed up the first time then disappeared then re appeared when someone else posted. I can look at the time I posted and look for it in the list from "new posts" and there is nothing posted at that time. almost like I never posted it. but I can track it down buy going to the forum

this has changed in the last 2 or so days
I never use the front page, since I can not go back as easy.
it used to show all posts and their time and if you posted it would move it to the top of the list.

All of the "unread posts" were reset yesterday. To reset the forums as read, click here:
http://www.greatlakes4x4.com/forumdi...hp?do=markread

I still don't see the problem. If you posted in this thread, it would not appear in the "unread posts" link until somebody else posted, since you were the last activity in the thread.

the new posts used to be like the todays post except it only gave you the ones to the last time you logged in. it was easier to see the 2 pages of posts since i left insted of trying to remeber the time i was last on and look thru 10+ pages

also no posts disapeared from the list and i could view my posts to see how many people had viewed it. This way i could see if anyone was on and searching and could possibly answer a quick question.

Hmm. If I click control panel, it automatically is showing me some of the threads I am subscribed to, but not the ones that I have recently posted in. It used to only show the ones that have been recently posted in and I would have to click on "View all subscribed threads" to see all of them. Now it seems to be reversed. I can only see the recently posted in threads if I click "View all".

This may help, the new posts button only displays the unviewed posts and if you click on a post it is now viewed and removed from the list for the next new post search.

My issue is that sometimes I like to re read a post. (sometimes i have to close a window in the middle of reading it.) Did the new post button get turned into a view unread post button? it used to be a view todays post button that only went back to the last time you logged on.

It should be for everyone. When I originally setup the forum I accidentally reversed some things that weren't right. After I added in the requested "unread posts" link in the top right, I caught the "mistake" and fixed it.

Are you guys saying the "new posts" button in the header used to display all posts in chronological order, just like the home page, but now it's acting like an "unread posts" button?

Last night I posted an item for sale in the misc. section, and it would not show up under "New Posts" but would show up if I went to the misc. forum.
