Default 88 gmc sas

traded my 91 3/4 ton with a 3inch body lift for this 88 gmc 1500 sas 10 inch suspension and 4inch body rear disc conversion and a stock 350 for now dana 44 front and rear

trying to get it ready for labor day weekend need to figure how im going to mount the shocks add some go fast stuff to the motor build a rear bumper and it needs a fuel pump any suggestions would be great

not a fan of the leaf front end i like the coils spring radius arm set up
it looks cleaner, and works great.. also interesting tcase set up???

i prefer the leafs personally but the tcase was in it when i got it im not sure what case it is but the axle dosn't have lockouts so its in 4 wheel all the time

prolly a np 205 on the tcase, i'd be switching that hunk-o-junk out, 208's are a lot better

Nice looking project though, looks like a hell of a fun toy

The 205 has a bulletproof case, all gear internals, and a fixed yoke. The 208 has an aluminum case, chain driven, and a slip yoke. But it has lower gearing. Which means a high power bogger will probably blow up a 208, and I'm sure he'll be working toward getting some horsepower out of it. Lower gearing is not neccessarily required for a bogger. Being heavy is its only downside of the 205. Other than that, I'd say the 205 is better for his application.

That would be a 203 case and they are junk unless you get a 205 and use them both to make a doubler then that would be nice set up.

i was told with this tcase i have if i put lockouts on the axles then it will be like a normal 4x4 but the driveshaft will still spin also can i run an inline fuel pump with the tbi

Yep, if you put locking hubs on your axle it will allow the front tires to freewheel.

thanks for the info also with the tbi can i run an inline fuel pump i was told that inline pumps dont push enough psi for tbi
