Default V8 Tracker

Im looking on puting a SBC in my 94 tracker I wanted to know if anyone has done it and any info on what all you used. Also I heard that they use 4.3 a small block is the same as a 4.3 only 2 cylinders cut off LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK

I would say go for a 4.3 over a 5.7 fitting a 350 in that hole would take some work.

why are u asking then? i agree with the 4.3, easier on drivetrain & your rear driveshaft might not be two yokes welded together

This isnt exactly a swap with a kit and go operation.

There are way too many variables to just answer quickly.

Whats your plan with a trans and t-case... axles.... etc.

Let us in a little more on what you end result is supposed to be. Then we can offer a little more.


The 4.3 would be easier, just because of the size.

i want to go 12 bolt in the rear and 10 bolt in the front i dont know bout the t case trans i want to go 350 turbo or 700r4

Hey i just got a 86 shortbed chevy how hard would it be to put the tracker body on that chassis

if i put a v8 or v6 in stock drivetrain it will break for sure so i want to put the body on the short box frame

ok i will im goin to cut the frame down and run the chevy drivetrain because tracker drivetrain is way to weak and hard to find parts for so im goin old skool sbc and carbed

The drivetrain will not hold up to a V8, that is true.

But, if you wanted to keep all the tracker stuff.... look at a set of Sammy or toyota axles. Tons of parts and they can be built up nice.

got the body on the chevy frame getting ready to cut it motor fit but very very tight got a 12 bolt inthe rear 10 up front 383 stroker 350 turbo and 205 transfer found a set of 38.5 swampers little pricey anyone got anything
