Question Waterpump HELP! Please Read.

Okay I have been having some overheating issues with my Jeep after the motorswap. I put another 2.5L in but I changed some things.

The motor is a 2.5L from a YJ or a TJ but I am running a belt setup, alt and power steering pump for a later model XJ, its the dual belt setup.

I am thinking that my waterpump is running in reverse, but I am stumped because when I pulled it the fins seemed to turn the right way, although I am not sure what way they are supposed to face.... So thats why I am posting here. I am pretty sure the pump is a TJ 2.5L pump reverse flow (the R stamped on the back)

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Your water pump appears to be running the opposite way it should. Which means your fan should be running backwards.
Go look at the fan blades and report back.
