Skyjacker makes a nice bracket, I recall some talk about them indeed selling just the bracket. Has holes for a 4" lift and a 6" lift, at least mine did, they may have some others to choose from.

To be on the safe side for the time being, find a way to extend that bump stop, by any means necessary. You can try to baby it but you know... murphy's law.

Yeah you can buy the skyjacker brackets seperate. I paid like $300 a few years ago for just the beam drops. The newer superlift brackets are drop plate delete as well, but the skyjackers are better quality/strength.

Browse www.therangerstation.com and www.explorerforum.com you can probably find a cheaper used pair of brackets.

Some guys have trimmed the corner of the drop plate to better clear the diff. Extend the bump stop quite a bit, but if you jump the truck at the dunes it won't matter, it'll hit anyways. The factory bump stop isn't very good. As long as you don't get any air under your front tires you might be alright. With that said I have ran the drop plate and punched several holes in my old D35 pig until I bought the Skyjackers.

Unfortunately I have no idea. I've got the Skyjacker kit on my truck. A good inch or two maybe?
