Default Anyone have a chainsaw I can borrow around SCS?

I need to cut down 2 trees in my backyard and need to borrow a gas chainsaw. I looked into renting one and places are asking about 60 bucks for one day. I live in st clair shores, 11 mile and jefferson area. Id come pick it up and drop it off and Ill pay for borrowing it and have my own pre mix fuel. Id just need it for a day or two. Id buy one, but I cant see me needing one again. I could use a hand getting the one down too since its leaning toward my neighbors garage so I plan on pulling on it with my truck to make it fall where I want. You can have to wood too. One tree is about 35-40 feet and I have already cut the branches off the other, it has about 15 feet left of it. Id greatly appreciate borrowing a saw and any help I can get. Id like to do it this thursday before I go to work at 8pm and unfortunately I work all weekend. Thanks, Steve

Wow, sixty dollars for one day? That's outrageous.

Yeah, thats my family in mexico. They own a tree service down there. It was my idea for them to use a boat trailer winch on the stout setup. You guys have to remember, trucks are worth more than guys down there, they dont care if he got hurt. Only that the truck now has a rain catcher

get an ax, keep it really sharp, spray the blade with teflon lube and start chopping, you can get through a pretty big tree in half an hour.

I've got a trusty old mcculloch you can use for free.
(of course it's in ann arbor)

edit: Just dug it out, put fresh premix in it and it fired right up. Runs like a champ. Not bad after sitting 4 years.
