is it in a vehicle or not? Selling an engine out of a vehicle is hard. No way to verify miles, no way to verify if it even starts... same with trans. No way to verify it shifts smooth.

The trans isn't worth much but a 12v with under 150k is easily worth
1500 bucks.

I might be interested in the trans if he would sell it cheap enough and separate. That cummins should be worth a decent amount being a P-pump and low mileage I know 2 years ago most of the ones I was seeing for sale were 2000-2500 but it's probably a little less than that now.

There is an identical engine at a salvage yard up here, less than 100,000 miles. Been there for two years at $1200.00

I think 1500 would be pretty fair if it came complete. the wiring harness on those was very simple, and with a gear box it only gets easier to swap one into something not junk. 4 years ago my dad paid just under 4k for a complete drive train from a 2004 ctd.

1500 or so, maybe less. Over 1200 though.
