i now have the whole frame cleared of all bolt on's. Only had 2 hangups, 1 rear body mount bolt was toast, involved cutting into the rear box mount but thats going away soon :) the other hangup i expected a firey death when i had to cut 1 gas tank mounting bolt off after disconnecting the fuel line and brake lines (i just remembered i have a nut buster that i could have used instead) Tomorrow i think ill mock up some of the armor and the new fenders and start stripping down the rear axle.

Here are more pics :)

oh and those wondering no the rack isnt holding up the door, it clears by less then 1"

I got more work done last night, i stripped the front drivers fender and mocked up the new armor. I gotta say the parts from Genright are TOP NOTCH!!! very high quality. I do have an issue with the strech rocker guards not fitting with the front fenders, most likely cause of the tube flare. Ill call Genright later today and see what they say, probably chop the rocker guard. Any way here are more pics.

Damn there is a lot of crap here; the evap junk, OBA junk, and ARB compressor are already off.

New fender vs. Old fender

Genright Hi-line flared tube fenders, Tub guards(yellow), strech rocker guards & rear strech corner guards.

Louver hotness!

From the back.

I got a good amount of work done last night. As per Genright's instructions I cut the rocker guard to to fit the fenders. I got to break out the plasma cutter...WOW now i cant wait to chop the rest of the Jeep apart with it, makes things soo much easier. I need to modify them to fit a little bit better but for now things fit just the way i want them.

After fitting the new armor i got bored and mocked up the front suspension with the JK arms. So far i dig it! With the strech the JK arms give me up front and the strech im gonna do in the rear, i should be looking at a wheelbase from 99-103. Im gonna shoot for 101 which with my measurments i should be right on that. I need to rework the steering box mount, cut off and get a new track bar mount, and get a flat pitman arm and the steering will be set. Things are gonna be tight in there. I need to decide as to what to do with the coil mounts on the axle, either cut them off or cut to fit the control arms. Also here are some measurments I took last night. I also think i need to buy some 39's

the rear will be a long arm, up front will be a medium arm setup. My TJ worked well with short arms, this combo should work even better with the extended wheelbase. If the front doesnt work the way i want it to ill redo it later on

Where'd you get all the louvers? I'd like to pick up a few for cooling and style.

Update:

This past weekend I got all the armor mocked up. The rocker guards just need some final grinding and some slight trimming and they will be perfect.

This weeks goals:
Order steel for the rear frame, chop the rear suspension mounts off and the shock/gas tank cross member, build the new rear frame, cut the coil buckets off the front end, trim the front fenders to fit the tube fenders, cut out the rear wheel wells and trim the back end.

more pics, i finished up the rockers, cut out the rear tub for the strech and mocked up the wheelbase. Looking at a wheel base of 101", now i need to figure out the steering. i think a flat pitman arm, clocking the box and moving it up and forward will be necessary.
