When you do, just let me know, and if I have to head up north I will PM you. Have not had any interest in it locally, so it is just stored out of the way. If you want pics, I can send them to you if you provide me with an email. The glass is located in Ft Wayne. I could also hold for you for awhile?

Thanks,

power steering box

any info or pics on the power steering box, is it the same for a 74 as a 78 if so I will take it if it doesn't leak and has no excessive play. any info or pics to knappenburger@hughes.net

It is off a J20 Jeep Truck, ,not sure if it is the same as the CJ. I will check it out tomorrow, just got off work. Then I will send pics. I have a 79 CJ w/ pwr steering, so I will compare and get back to you.

Thanks,

It may look the same externally, but what he is asking is whether it is a big-bore model like on the later J-20's.

How would I determine if it is the Big Bore model?

part numbers match

I just looked it up at autozone and they list the same part number for both years so it should be the same I would guess as long as it was power steering and wasn't swapped previously. As far as looking at it externally and telling the difference PP might have a better idea if there is a way to do that, but comopare it to your cj7 box it should look the same maybe just a bigger shaft would be all.

Yeah, I'd call the parts stores and compare the part #'s. Call more than one, though - and make one of them a NAPA.
