1985 Toyota project truck
'85 Yota Standard cab/short bed
22r (w/ slight knock) – currently sitting in truck
22re (ran when pulled) – sitting on engine stand waiting to go in
G-52 trans w/ fwd shift case (single twin sticked) - currently installed in truck
W-56 trans w/marlin doubler waiting to be installed
spare topshift case
Sittin on 35” MTRs w/half tread and aluminum rims
Comes with a set of steel wheels holding bald 33" tires (my storage set)
rear axle: locker w/ V6 3rd in the rear and disk brakes
front axle: longfield super shafts and birfs, rebuilt w/ IFS hubs, vented brakes and V6 Calipers
Hi-Steer with FROR Brace and Power IFS box
waggy springs in the front and 63” chevies out back
rancho 9000's on all corners
rear rollover protection
front hitch for winch (no winch included)
rear custom bumper with integrated hitch
Full doors and Half doors in body color, plus extra set of full doors
2 spare radiators
2 complete first-gen FI systems including harnesses and computers, even the under-dash harnesses
1 partial second-gen FI system – I think this needs injectors and some other parts
boxes and boxes of misc spare parts
Following is all BRAND NEW NEVER INSTALLED:
Marlin crawler ceramic clutch
Marlin crawler twinstick setup for rear tcase
Brand new master/slave cyls for clutch
Bud lite crossmember for dual cases
Pair of HD tcase mounts
I bought this truck last year from the guy who built it. I wheeled it until the clutch went out and I started the engine/trans/doubler swap over the winter. I changed jobs and haven’t got the time to put it back together right now. I’m going to take a loss on this truck, but I’d rather see someone get it and finish it than have it sit in my garage for another year or two until I have time. It was a kick-ass wheeler and will be even better with FI and a doubler.
Right now everything is pulled off the engine in preparation for pulling the block and dropping the 22re in there. The truck does not run right now because there is no power or fuel going to the engine. It did run, but it’s worth swapping the engine since the old one has wrist pin rattle and the clutch is shot anyway.
I’ve got more than $6,000 invested, but I’ll sell for $3000. I might be open to trades for a running OBS Ford F-150 or F-250, a stock-ish extended cab Yota, or a police interceptor.

I'm only interested in showing the truck to serious buyers. I don't really need to sell this right now, but I can't imagine having the time to put it back together in the next year so I'll sell it if I can get some of my money back. The truck was built by Karl and worked very well until the clutch went out at the Mounds last year. With FI and dual cases, this truck will go pretty much anywhere you want.

Nope. I'm selling everything or nothing. I either want everything Toyota I own to be gone, or I want to keep it and finish it when I get the time. It doesn't do me any good to sell the little stuff separate.
