GM doesn't need any extra money, Citi said "keep all your other money", BOA said they're profitable, GE only received a AA+ rating (street was expecting lower), Walmart had its best profit ever, Oil is cheap, Loans are starting to flow again..

No where to go from here but up. And with HUGE profits for a lot of people who jumped into the market in the last couple weeks.

Dude, don't tell me you've been lying to yourself when you've been saying people are stupid all along.

Just wait to see how many people will beat a path to the local Chevy dealer when mandated teeny, slow, econoboxes are produced and gasoling is below $3/gallon.

The U.S. needs artificially inflated fuel prices in the way of federal taxation to make fuel efficient cars attractive.

gasoline prices are not dependant on oil prices. in the early 80's crude was 18 a barrel and gas was about 2$$ a gallon. now a barrel of crude is around 37$$ and gas is 2$$ a gallon.

I know, but what I'm saying is that the gubment needs to artificially inflate fuel prices to get econocars to sell, and idiots to continue drilling contracts.

Did you smoke a fatty before you typed that...

You have a great point, average cost of a barrel of sweet crude in 1997 was $17.00 per barrel and gas averaged $1.65 per gallon for the same year, so if crude and gas are relevent to each other gas should be about $4.10 a gallon

ok, 2 dollar was a slight exaggeration, but it was up around 1.50 a gallon at the peak of the energy crisis.

Can't swing it today. Already have deals lined up after work and a bunch of shit to ship.

However, I now have a completely clear lane from front to back on one side of my garage.
