Default Need some info.. Looking at a 95 dakota

so, yeah. im looking at 95 dakota, ext cab. 3.9 auto

So things im wanting to know
What axles are under these things? Are they any good?
What about the trans and t-cases? any good?
and problems areas i should look for, certains places for frame rot? or such

anything i should look for in general, would be appreciated.

Are the V6s that much better on gas, to make it worth it, or no?

and ideas on price range?

has 200k on the body, and under 100 on the motor and trans, from what i was told, guys says he has receipts to prove it

I had a 2wd, 93, 3.9 v6, 15 to 18 mpg, good power for a v6. I'd buy another one but not whit 200k in less it was cheap cheap

From what he has told me, the entire front end is all new. within 15k miles, motor tranny and t-case all have around 60k, has all the receipts, *over 7k in receipts* to show what work has been done.

so i can pretty much call BS on this guy, when he says it gets about 20 mpg mostly city driving?

I have a 95, 4x4, ext cab, V6, manual trans. I'm getting about 15mpg, driving to and from town. there's no way he's getting 20 in the city, I can't get that on the highway. Had 280k on everything when i bought it, ran like a gem until i hydro locked it. rear axle is 8.25" chrysler 27 spline. T-case is NP231, i've heard it's pretty tough, i know i've put mine through hell (mis-matched sized tires). Engine is no V8, but wound out it handles the truck pretty good. Plus you always have 4low for climbing
