Default CBO Analysis of Obama's 2010 Budget

Please understand this is an analysis of the proposed Obama budget for next year (2010). I am sure it stands to change a lot over the summer but as it stands today, well it's not pretty.

Here's the whole 56 page document from the (non-partisan) Congressional Budget Office. Page 11 & 12 are the summary.......

http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/100xx/doc...dentBudget.pdf

A few highlights......

Deficit
2009 $1.7 Trillion 11.9% GDP
2010 $1.1 Trillion 7.9% GDP

Debt held by the public:

41% GDP 2008
57% GDP 2009
56% GDP 2019 Base line
82% GDP 2019 Obama Plan

Unemployment:

9.4% till late 2009
7.0% through 2011

Here's the Heritage Foundation's summary of the report. It's a little easier to read, although I can't claim it's non-partisan. Among other things, it compare's the Obama budget to the Bush budget which I found interesting.....
