2004 Ram driveshaft question

I've got a bad driveshaft u-joint that I need to change next week on my 04 Quad cab 4x4. I climbed under the truck to hit the bolts with some Kroil and noticed that it doesn't have the usual clamps to hold the joints in place. On the rear, it appears I need to remove the 4 bolts that hold the yoke to the diff, but what I'm wondering is the front. Does the shaft just slip into the transfer case? If so, anything I need to be aware of on re-assembly?

Thanks!

Front drive shaft

Sounds like you have a 1500 with 241 transfer case. It does have a slip yoke for the front out put. Nothing too special. I would recommend using a paint marker or a punch to mark the front yoke to front axle pinion flange orientation- so you bolt it back up the same as it came apart. 6 Pack job on a Sunday while listening to a MRN Nextel Cup coverage....
