I've never used wheel spacers, but worked in tire shops for 10 years as a mech. and everyone I worked for flat out refused to sell or install them. Scared about liability for wheels falling off which can happen. I had 31x10.5r15 on my '97 wrangler with no lift or rubbing I just got new rims with different backspacing. That's what I'd recommend. Just my .02 cents.

I run spacers, and will run them with out any questions. But for the cost you could find a decent set of used rims on the board.

I would get a some used rims as my first choice, then maybe the lift or used spacers.
