Default Suzuki 1.3 to a 1.6 HELP!!!

I have an '87 Suzuki with a 1.3 carborated motor and I have a '91 Geo Tracker 1.6 fuel injected 2 wheel drive, does anyone have any tricks or tips on the wiring harness or fuel pump to make the switch over easy?

is the tacker an 8-valve or 16-valve?

trailtough.com has everything for this swap.

or try searching at zuwharrie.com.
look for;
- zor sidedraft kit
- f150 fuel pump
- tracker fuel pump
- 1.6 swap

their are a few there who will modify the wiring harness. I can't remember who thou.

you can run the 1.3 intake and carb till you get ready to do the efi. just get a f150 fuel pump or any elect low psi fuel pump for cared motors. there are mount kits out there. just make sure they come with the special bolts. because they r like $25 the intake will only work with the 8v motor though.

That is a good option, or you can use the 1.3 head and stock fuel pump.

What direction are you wanting to go with this?

Ive done several 1.6 swaps(doin one now) all but the current one I used fi the 16v's mfi & the 8v's tbi I use the tracker fuel pump ontop of the sami gas tank there a spot thats perfect for mtg the fuel pump just cut a hole & install the mtg plate w/self taping screws and seal it good w/some sealant (seal all)
Ive done all my own wiring & basically you get the whole wiring harness from doner car leave the engine harness alone & start getting rid of all wires that dont go to the computer(ecm) , relays,the engine harness, grounds or power sorces get a chiltons book & find the page with the pin #s on the ecm& the right wiring diagram for doner car lay out harness start labeling & cutting you will end up with several switched power wires some power on always(battry + )ground wires a diagnostic plug or some cut wires if you dont need it (Ive done it both ways &never used the plug) acouple relays a wire from one relay goes to fuel pump hot .use the sami starterwires /charging systems a wire off ecm is for a tach .you can get sami temp wire to tracker temp senser. Ive done somwe that I left fuse'sfrom tracker in the loop
its just time consuming checking wire colors & pin #s & double checkin with the wiring diagram I set it up on a sheet of osb board & cut all the tape off used some screws to hold it in place if you can figure out how to get a 1.6 into a sami you probably could figureout wiring
