Air guns have been around for as long as powder guns. Lewis and Clark used air rifles, IIRC.

These things like to run about 3200 PSI and to get those velocities, you go through your tank in 6 or 7 shots (max); I think you would waste the air operating the "slide" mechanism to go semi-auto.

It would be tits, though.
