Default Geocaching

Anybody into hiding caches as well as finding them? Ive got my first hide about ready to go out. I started caching a little over a month ago and I have 13 finds.
I figured I would put this here rather than on the geocaching forum because i doubt any of you will be hunting any of my caches in the near future.

Anyways, here is the container for my hide. I was in Wal-Mart the other night and found this little container in the camping section. It is a clear lexan that I was afraid would make painting a chore, but the Krylon Camouflage paints are supposed to bond to plastics pretty well. I cant scratch off the paint with a fingernail so I think its probably good enough.

I didn't paint the bottom because I didn't think it was necessary.
Let me know what you think.

Make it fun! I pretty much stopped caching because of easy, non inspired caches.

Its definitely going somewhere where there is something worth seeing. I agree that caches hidden where there is nothing to see are lame. I dont have a place for it yet, but Ill come up with something.

I've found a few. You should hide it somewhere with a nice view that will require a capable vehicle to get to it. Someplace like the Manistee National Forest (assuming you are allowed to hide caches on federal land.)

I hiked that with JDirt's 3 year old on my back.

We're into geocaching, just haven't done a lot this winter. Other priorities right now but I miss it. We really like to do it on trips, wakes you up better than a coffee/pee break. When we did our cross country trip last summer, we made sure to do at least one cache in every state we drove through.

My nick on geocaching.com is nosuchcache.

I used to hide ours in places you can only get into with 4x4 ever since I found one hid in the Home Depot parking lot under a light cover.
We have over 500 finds and 100 hid, its a chance to get outside and enjoy the weather.
