That was 10 yearss ago. In another post, ou said that you were 19 years old. That would mean that you were 9 years old when your car ran 13.50, right?

Yea thats understandable. I think when it gets warmer I put it up on the lift and check all my mounting brackets, suspension componets, steering, etc. Luckily I do think if the car lost powersteering or brakes I would be able to control it. I have never lost control of a car/truck except on a icy road in my suburban and I kissed a pole I have lost it a few times before in my T.A. but I corrected it and it wasnt my fault either. I need to replce the drivers flexline on the front brakes. Its a high pressure line thats just old and is expanding under pressure. SO its not clamping real hard. I was hitting a corner on cooley and a cop came around and I was doing about 75 in a 45.(stupid I know) and I freaked and locked up while the car was weightless(corner went up hill) Car got full weight on the ground and started diving everywhere. Scared the living shit out of me. Somehow I corrected it. Not sure how. Needless to say I don't drive like that anymore.lol.

This was right when the motor only had like 10,000 miles or less on it.
We built the motor in 1994. Last time we took the car to the track(2006 I think), it ran about a 14.30. But it needed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and the carb cleaned like reallyyyy bad. Original parts from 1994. Plus this car is really easy to miss third gear in. I think I fixed the problem but I wont know until I can run it.
We? We? Look, David Hasselhoff, You're 19 years old, that makes you 4 years old... WE didn't do anything, your dad may have rebuilt it... But odds are he sent it out to get rebuilt. :)

BTW, Knight Rider.. If you don't want to be embarrassed by that goofy lookin' Dodge truck ----- you could always be out driven by myself my daily driver 98 Civic... I'd offer you my 00 T/A, but I figured I would make it a bit more fair for you... Lets see this happen!!

:)

For what A.J. is doing, there is no way he would be able to make 12:1 work on his budget.

You telling him to slap a set of aluminum heads on, aim for 12:1 and everything will be okay is pretty misleading.

Possibly not for what he's doing.
I don't recall telling him his setup would work with that much compression....
I also don't recall telling him to "slap on a set of aluminum heads and go for it".
I simply stated that it CAN and HAS been done. Not to say his combo would work, but it CAN be done.
What's misleading is telling people untrue facts such as it CAN'T be done. Do your homework and it's definitely possible.

You're trying to turn this into a pissing match, it isn't.

I respectfully disagree - he does not have the engine management to cope with 12:1 on pump gas.
=! "CAN'T BE DONE.

And not to defend AJ here, but i remember when i was young.. Really young helping my dad in the garage when he rebuilt his first 2 engines. YES i didnt do anything but goof of and be a pest but what kid isnt at that age. Its not hard to rebuild an engine, ive rebuilt 2 with the help of my dad (willies 4 cyl. and my jeep I6) just machining has to be outsourced.
