Then built a observation platform over the whole bus...good for NASCAR races. And it hauled his XJ, plus a his brothers XJ on a trailer on numerous trips.
I think you guys are talking about 2 different busses. One had the back roof ut off and the jeep sat outside, the other had the back raised so the Jeep would be inside. I was so tempted ot but that one, it was listed pretty cheap and no one was buying it. I don't remember who finally bought it.

Any up north folks know about amish better than me (i only buy eggs from them up in bigrapids / white cloud area when i am hunting) I didnt think they were allowed to use modern conveniences ? How disappointing
They can't own or operate these modern conveniences - they can use them, however. You DON'T want to be the nearest "english" with a phone and car - they'll drive you CRAZY bumming rides and wanting to use the phone at all hours...

I've seen some that have diesels on harvesters, but pull it with horses. The diesel running the equipment was OK, just not to move it (pretty liberal interpretation).

In fact, some of the Amish in Indiana actually owned and drove cars - the women had a stripped-down Olds wagon (dark blue, all chrome pulled off, no hubcaps) they drove to IU to get education as midwives. They also used it on their "rounds".
