Default Out Board Storage

New to boats. Question when storing a small (8hp) outboard can it laid down for storage? Since I do not have a stand my sons laid it on the table in the garage. Or should it be stood up in a corner.

if its a two stroke it dosent matter but if its a four stroke you have to be sure what side you lay it on because the oil will drain into the cylinder so its best to store it on a stand or prop it up in a corner or somthin

It is a 2 stroke. But I had the kids stand it up in the corner anyway. Thank you

it'll be fine.

They self drain, so hopefully it at least stood up long enough to drain any water out before it got cold, otherwise its good to go
