Default My Cheap Jeep Build Up.

Thought i might wanna start a thread and document my build...

1997 jeep wrangler sport..
first day I got it.. Price $1300.00

Had to get tires and wheels!

gambler rims and 31x10.5 tires $180.00

I had to replace the back glass on the hard top.. and hardware spent like $300..

I bought a front brush guard for $50.00 and built a new front bumper.. Free.
dont have any pics of this yet.. looks like crap paint didnt stick to well was cold and such i just wanted to get a coat on so it would not rust horriable..

so far thats how the jeep sits..

Parts waiting to be installed

33x12.5 BFG MT's $125 for all four
four 1.5" wheel spacers $100
3.5" complete used superlift shocks/adj track bar. springs/ $300
Best top Rear Tire carrier $40

Still needing to get new axles.. so I am looking

I have to do this AS CHEAP as I can.. I am very very broke but seem to somehow find a little money here and there for the jeep.. since its addicting and love dumping money into it!! so thats it for now.. I will hopefully be finding some axles soon and then will swap those in and the lift and tires all at once...

Neighbors have money HA!!!! one side maybe... he is mostly blind.. other side NO WAY crazy nut with worst looking house in the neighborhood..

Got the jeep from a good friend.. he got it really cheap from his father in law. passed the savings on to me.. it needed work to get running, tune up, exhaust work, had some loose steering components = DW. and 160,000 miles

Good start, I would get rid of the side steps, mud flaps, and that piece of flare on the rockers. Would make it look a little less soccer mom. My $0.02.

well more updates... almost a year.. loved the set up but of course want more. I gotta get photos, but I have a winch, 35's on soft 8s rebuilding the trans and transfercase right now, installing HD steering, a 6" long arm lift, the SYE in the TC. Also getting new rocker gaurds and a few other little extras. I had a lot of issues with the gauges messing up but I think i finally got them fixed. So jeep is on the hoist now, trans and transfer case are out. hoping to start on the lift this weekend. will get some photos
