Default I hate UPS/Fed-ex

/Rant

1st - Fed-ex loses a package of mine (150lb package - 4 ft by 2 ft)

2nd - UPS keeps telling me that my package would be delivered (flat screen TV) but never shows up. Finally get it after working with them for a week.

3rd - Order blower motor next day, and UPS cannot deliver because of weather, go to shipping location and they lost the package. Need motor because of furance so I drive three hours to get the part. They find the part and then tell me I have to come back to pick it up. Send many notes/phone calls and finally they return to sender. Promised returned calles within 1 hour and never recieved anything back.

4th - A few minutes ago UPS delivery shows up at my door and leaves a package on my porch, but its not mine but someone who lives a few miles down the road.

I have a contact to UPS from the claim that I made with the BBB... They are sure going to get an earful when I return. There is a lot more to the story, but I am just pissed that they can't get anything right how much they have lied to me.

/end rant.

1. Go to your fridge
2. Grab a homebrew with the highest ALC (I know you have a bunch)
3. Drink
4. Repete as needed
5. Relax, it's Christmas eve

How did the Mead fest go this year?

Thanks Tab! Its almost noon, might as well start a little early.

Mead fest was good. I was not able to make it to the outing in Jackson, so we had our own small outing.

Last week UPS delivered a package and left it at the end of my driveway, and it was after dark, the night before garbage day. It was left leaning up against my garbage cans, luckily I had to go to the store that night and saw it or it probably would have gone out with the trash. This is even worse than the usual way they deliver things, normally they are just left in random places around my house, sometimes on the side of my house, or if I leave my garage door open it will just be thrown in the garage. Whatever happened to having to sign for packages? Or at least bringing it to the door and ringing the bell? Haven't had any problems with FEDEX but UPS has been terrible lately.

I've had issues with them before too. There isn't any easy damn way to contact them either. You have to go through 20 minutes of damn automated shit before you can get anywhere on the phone.

I feel your pain though. I just ordered a 375 dollar item. It was delivered so I can't blaim UPS for this one, but instead of the item I ordered, I got a fucking book.

Let's have some beers together. Sigh

If you call the 1-800 number and hold down 0 for five seconds, it will say that it can connect you to an operator once you give a tracking number, push 0 again for five seconds and then it will connect you to an operator.

The operators are usless though, they would not connect me, or leave a message to the local call center.

The other thing that pisses me off is that I ordered a b-day gift for the misses (it is in a few weeks) and it was sent via UPS. It is pretty small and less then a lb, so when it got to the Saginaw center they pawned it off to USPS (I did not know that they can do this). The did this on the 11th and I still have not recieved it yet... The worst part is that I lost all and any tracking information once they did this.

Time for some 's

Your lucky you got that!

I had UPS go to the back of my house and then go in my garage (I must have forgot to lock the back of the garage door). When I got home the box was in my garage. Nice that it was out of the weather, but I don't really care for them going in my garage.

Good info about the operators. Thanks!.

I didn't know they could do the pass to the postal service either. What's the point of a tracking number if they give it to someone else? Schmucks

I like our UPS guy, he asked years ago if it was ok to put packages in the garage since the door is rarely locked. He always puts them just inside the door out of the weather. Fedx on the other hand can never find our house, they usually have to call us and get directions.

I will say that when I lived up north, the UPS guy was always the same guy and was very nice and I never had a problem. Since moving down here, we get these douchbags that are jerks. Most will knock and run. I come to the door and they are already out to there trucks. I've had a couple not even knock. I saw them in the window stop and then drive away. I go the the door and it's sitting there. Is it that hard to knock and say hi?

And that is not including when they've screwed up stuff.

When I lived in Sanford, our UPS guy was out of Mt. Plesant and he was great. We were down a long driveway and even when it was not plowed and the snow was pretty deep, he would bring the package up to the house.

We live on a fairly main road and they always delay the package saying the conditions are too bad... even though I see the UPS trucks come down the road that do the section north of us.

Thats kewl! If I had meet him before (he always just drops the stuff off and leaves - even when the package requires a sig) I might feel a little better about him leaving a package in my garage without me there.

Our UPS guy rocks. He knows we have 7 dogs and never knocks on the door so that the dogs don't freak out. When there isn't snow on the ground, he will usually leave packages inside the garage on the steps into the house. Once he left 2 40-pound boxes of dog food in the front seat of my truck that was unlocked so it was out of the weather.
