Default broken nut help

Yesterday my dad was trying to remove the cab on my truck and the nut thats supposed to be welded on broke off so now the bolt and nut spin freely. We are thinking about cutting off the bolt but how to we get the nut welded back on there so we can put a new bolt in it?
Its the body mount behind the passenger door if that helps.

this happened to me on my YJ for the rear corner mount. I had to cut the steel out and weld in a new plate with a nut welded to that plate.

pretty much all you can do, if there is no access to the nut from anywhere else...and make sure you use anti-sieze on reassembly...

I think I might be able to cut a whole in the cab and put the nut on then patch it back up
