I picked s.a.w because they had a running dinosaur on them! Or because I got a good deal on them used.

well if money was no object why would you pick one brand over the other. im ordering a set of king 2.5 coil overs. got what i think is a descen deal on them but im still open to see what others thoughts are on what brands are what? why you choose one of the other. obviously cost is a huge part of it in michigan and all over right now.

although i havent run coil-overs yet. (they are in route though) im going with sway-away's. i think they are going to be easier to package, since they are shorter. also... they have a running dinosaur, and that is cool!!

I picked Fox because that's what I have. No experience with any of the others.

I built a project using 4 King 16" travel 2.5's and they were very nice. I went with Fox on mine because I feel they have been in the game a bit longer than sway a way but mostly I was worried about the saw's rusting. There has been a lot of that happening lately as read on Pirate. Constuction is probably about the same so it really should'nt matter which you choose as long as its a known brand.

you cant go wrong with anything by king, fox makes awesome stuff except for the 2.0" air shock in stock form (with the air bump piston it's better I hear). swayaway makes awesome tuff too and the shafts on the coilovers and 2.0" air shocks are bigger making them stronger=coilover and better performing=2.0 air shock.

I havent messed with radflo, their quality looks good but I hate the idea of not having a valve stack. (I'm pretty sure but not 100% positive on that so call me out if I'm wrong)

I do not like FOA for numerous reasons one of which being only a few dollars cheaper than the leaders of the market and using junk parts like die cast pieces.

walker makes good stuff but i would only put the air shocks on a light buggy.

Ballistic is good stuff but I'm noti positive on the details... I like the coilovers from what I have seen.

I'm getting either 14" fox or sway away air shocks in the 2.5" diameter when I find the money for them.

other than that, just run whatever you want, you'll never know the difference between them unless you run all of them and dial all of them in extensively.

The more I think about it, the Ballistic 2.5" airshocks will be a strong contender when it comes time to buy them.

i agree, there probably arent too many people, especially around here, that will notice the difference between the "highend" shocks. if you are running a big time baja effort, a difference would probably be seen.

the main reason i chose SAW is due to them being ~1.5" shorter overall. i will be using 2.5's to start with, but what if i want to change to 2.0's for some reason? the kings are different lengths depending on being a 2.0 or 2.5, and play or race series. it would be nice not to have to re-do the shock hoops/front cage, just to switch shocks.

it also helps that ive found some good deals. i guess ive found bargains on all the brands though.

We do run a valve stack similar to all the other manufacturers.
