This email (or a very close one) surfaces every year or so. Have as good a chance of getting money from microsoft for sending emails as you do of winning the lotto. Go for it.

The litmus test for stuff like this is if it contains the line..please forward to as many people as possible..you can be pretty confident it's a scam/urban myth/garbage etc.

the point of any e-mail fwd originator can be usually traced to one of the following:

some kid that gets an ego rush out of seeing his fake e-mail on snopes, and/or forwarded so much that it gets back to him.

OR

you know how when you hit "forward" it copies virtually everyone's e-mail address in the header of the message for most e-mail/webmail clients? well, if/when it lands on the desk of an e-mail junk lister, they harvest out those e-mail addresses, and thus we all get more spam.
