#1 buckshot (7.62 dia) approx 16 pellets *4 shells = 64
Same size holes same dead kid
Serious question here,

Not knowing the circumstance in which this dude fired the gun (how far away, etc), can buckshot be as precise as a rifle? IE can all 64 rounds be placed within an area the size of a door? What about the size of a 12 year old kid who is about 100 pounds and maybe 5 feet tall?

Any suggestions on how to get AK47s out of the hands of felons?

I can go buy numerous legal firearms and modify them or purchase the parts (which are legal) to convert it to a fully automatic weapon.

Yes. Allow the sales of fully functioning automatic weapons to the good people of the country.

Serious answer = Hell yes. While it all depends on the distance of the target, as the spread of the "shot" will typically increase as it gets further away from the gun, I would say without a doubt all 64 pieces of shot could be placed through a door if you're shooting from a room that has typical housing demensions.

Is it as precise as a rifle can be? No. However, if you're pulling a trigger on a gun as fast as you can, you're not going for pin point accuracy - so long as it hits the target, you're good, and buckshot is more than capable of doing that....

objection your honor, calls for speculation...

ok, I'll speculate.

Smuggled from Canada/Mexico? Sure, seems plausible

Stolen from Homeowners? Sure, seems plausible

Where to they come from?
See above. I'll also add that obviously Gun Stores also get robbed, and/or broken into during the evening hours.

There are also of course folks that know they can get more "on the street" for an item and are willing to buy/sell in questionable merchandise for an off-the-record buck - in addition to getting the premium, there's no tax they pay on an unreported transaction... People in general are greedy...

Regardless once they are on the street it's not hard for anyone to get their hands on a weapon.

I'm going home. I found plans for a ballista, and a heliopolis and I'm going to set one up in the front hall of my door... that way when I finally have had enough and go postal the damned liberals won't be able to blame it on poor gun laws - they'll have to outlaw lumber...

er, uh, it was a semi-automatic rifle. Perfectly legal for an unencumbered citizen to purchase. He could have bought it at Gander Mountain.

In an Obama-Biden administration your tax dollars provide him a education grant for rehabilitation and a regular check.

If you can blame a gun for killing people, then i can blame a pencil for my mistakes.

Cars kill people every day, many more than guns do.

I know that guns are meant to kill, but many people enjoy them, for many more reasons than killing.

As for the multiple shots through a shotgun . . . it's hella fun to hold the trigger and rack a whole magazine through the chamber . . .
The ol' Mossberg will hold 7 2 3/4" shells. :)

Just because you ban something doesn't mean it will go away. cocaine, heroin and other drugs are illegal yet they are everywhere. They are produced in other countries and shipped here by the tons, the same would happen with the guns.
