The intercooler is mounted between the electric fan and the engine. Not the best place, but better than nothing.


I have probably about $500 into the whole thing. I don't know how much time exactly. I worked on it over the last 2 months when I had a free hour here or there. It could be done in a day if you had all the parts on hand. It started as kind of a science project before I put a 360 in it, but I kinda like it this way now.

I would think that this would be a killer setup for a DD in the coming summer of $4.00 gas... I'd sure put a few months on it before you pull it for the 360.

On the other hand, I'm sure you could sell off the setup on here pretty easily once you have the kinks worked out

If I had been able to keep my 97 XJ on the road, I was thinking that a turbo setup would have been a great way to go when it was retired from DD duties.
