Default anybody else get an ad from Diane Marie Hathaway?

We got a flyer from Diane Marie Hathaway that says Michigan's Future? with a picture of a No Hunting sign. Then on the inside it says "Supreme Court Chief Cliff Taylor cast the deciding vote on a case that bans people from hunting on their own private property" with a (1) footnote. If you check the footnote at the bottom of the page it says "Cyzmbor's Timber v. City of Saginaw, 478 Mich. 348 (2007). It goes on to talk about Michigan's traditions of hunting and "Traditions and values that are now threatened by Cliff Taylor".

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but, isn't it downright sensible to ban someone from hunting on their own property in the city of Saginaw?

Isn't it downright sensible that if someone owns 56 acres of forest land that you'd let them go out there and hunt?

Do you really think it's legal to hunt in a city neighborhood now?

Wouldn't be downright sensible to encourage hunting within the city limits of Saginaw, Flint and Detroit?

Yes, it's reasonable as could be. We don't have a no-hunting district, but we do have a 'no discharge of firearms district' in place over the densely populated area of the township. It's mostly small parcels, with a few larger parcels thrown in. I'm not sure if those large-parcel owners protested, but I think there's a good chance they wouldn't have been included if they would have voiced objection.

I haven't read that court case, but most of the time a judge will back a municipality if they lay down some reasons for why the law exists.
