I can not really argue your point here, because they are pretty much valid.

What is telling here is not that the Dems help people to the polls who could other wise not get there, or would not care to get there, it is that the Reps don't make the effort, when most of them have the ability to get there and knowledge of what is going on. At least that is the attitiude and lines of division I see be propogated here.

In other words, if you don't like it, gather up your fellow Republicans and go vote.

She is a very intelligent young lady, after all, she considers me a friend. Or is that, she considers my wife her friend and I am just her friends husband. Hard to keep track.

I find it comical how everyone discounts Governor Palins accomplishments and leadership experience while inflating Obamas.

As a U.S. Senator, name two (2) pieces of legislation that Obama authored that has passed into law?

Typically, college women vote democratic until they get married, get a job and acquire assets. After they feel secure in the future then they start to vote Republican. It happens all the time.

The theory is that women by nature need to have a feeling of security. The democratic party gives them that feeling of security by promising to take care of them, and if they don't have much to fall back on, then that seems pretty good, it fills the security need. After they have a good job, some savings and a partner to share in the burden, then security comes from within and they don't need the to give that feeling anymore and start to vote for the Republicans.

It doesn't help that liberal college professors are pounding the party montra in class either.

I don't know Barb but if she is as intelligent as you say she will grow out of the Democratic party within 10 years of graduation. Unless she marries the campus hippie, then all bets are off.

I could argue this point. Michigan is a democratic state and most regions do not vote or we wouldn't have the canadian mole for a gov!
UAW brainwashing. Dems helping people to the polls to vote is only used to their advantage. I am aware of someone that was contacted by the party to have assistance to vote, only after selling them on their party. They have no thought of helping this is only a tactical move to try to get more votes.
