I fix stuff!
4x4 Geo Metro *SOLD*
I never thought I would see this day but I am considering selling/trading my Geo Metro. I would like to downsize my 4x4 operation and buy or build a new toy.
I feel the base value is $5000.00 and am willing to take any combination of cash or trade that we can agree on.
Currently the motor has a knock in it but I am willing to do the following for the new owner:
Replace current engine with a stock 305. I am not willing to give up my Vortec heads and other goodies unless you want to give me another 2 grand. I am also willing to install a motor provided by a buyer should they want to put their own built motor in.
Replace all fluids in axles, transmission, and transfer case.
Repack all wheel bearings.
The buyer will receive a turn key bogger when I'm done.
1990 Geo Metro
Set up for sbc
sm465 four speed with ceramic six puck severe duty clutch up front
np205 transfere case with 32 spline front output shaft.
Rockwell 2.5 ton axles. Front axle narrowed 7 1/4 inches with u-joint style axle shafts. Rear axle with rotated center section to reduce driveline angle. Locked rear axle, Detroit locker in front axle
Pinion brakes front and rear axles. Brakes use commonly available parts available at any auto parts store.
54 inch agricutural tires with good tread.
Upright exhaust with rain caps and Mounds approved mufflers.
Full roll cage with halo around passengers and extra padding over doors.
Full hydraulic steering
Solid recovery points front and rear.
Functional lights and horn (I know that's important to you).
I built this car from the ground up starting out with nothing but a Jeep cj7 frame. When I built the car I tried to design everything to be easy to access for maintanence and repair. The engine, trans, or transfere case can be removed easier than most pick-ups.
The condition of the car is far from show quality because I built the car to be driven hard, not trailered to shows. I am not a first class fabricator or welder and it shows in my build. I will say that my welding holds together and this car will survive a pounding. The rear of the jeep frame has been repaired where they rust along with a crack along the left rail just in front of the rear spring front perch. The body has some rust on it and a few holes. Once again, its not a show ride.
This car is extreamly capable off road and is very easy to drive. It weighs about 6000 pounds so it is not much heavier than a standard 4x4 pick-up. I've had a ton of fun with this car over the years and I've met alot of good people who thought the car was cool and wanted to talk to me about it.
I know most people don't have five grand laying around to buy a bogger so I am willing to do some tradin'. Here is a list of things I would consider as partial or full trades (NOTE: I don't want another bogger or regular pickup):
Rat rod of some type
Antique car or truck (a Nash Metropolitan would be cool)
A tubbed pro street car or truck, complete or roller. The weirder, the better. Not interested in cookie cutter cars like Cameros or Mustangs, etc.
A clean Yugo, running or not (I have a cool project in mind)
A clean Geo Metro (same cool project as above)
A Honda Goldwing or other touring bike in good condition.
Hydraulic tubing bender (for roll cages)
6 or 7 foot brush hog with 3 point mount
Vertical metal band saw
Above ground automotive hoist
Pop up camper
Gasser golf cart
Big chain saw
Big log splitter
I am willing to consider just about any combination of cash or trades. I will post pictures soon. PM me to get my contact information or to make arrangements to check this thing out.

A person could make this road worthy again (why is beyond me). All of the lights work including brake lights and turn signals. The electical should last awhile because I soldered all of the connections when I bult the car.
